COMPASS, THEA, ASSET

Lone Star College-Montgomery offers the COMPASS test as an alternative to THEA for students who will be attending our college. COMPASS is a computerized placement test covering reading, writing and math skills.

Students must visit the Admissions Office to get a Referral Card before taking the test. They must bring the Referral Card and a photo ID (drivers license, school ID, etc) to the Testing Center in order to take the test. Also, students must know their Social Security Number.

No appointment is necessary to take the COMPASS test. Below are the hours for COMPASS testing.

COMPASS or ASSET (THEA-Alternative)
The COMPASS and ASSET are designed to provide placement information, as well as meet TEXAS SUCCESS INITIATIVE (TSI) requirements for Lone Star College System students.
Quick-THEA

THEA
